About Us

Hi! We are Talia, Chloe, and Lena, three proud women and presidents of the Gender Equality Club at our high school in Los Angeles, California. Our mission is simple: to facilitate meaningful conversations and build a community of independent, young changemakers. 

In a "normal" year of high school, the three of us would be running a small, in-person club within our school community full of bake sales, games, and feminist movie nights. But this year, things are different. Given that our club meets on Zoom, we are forced to hold our difficult but important conversations behind a screen. SHESPLAINED’s mission to connect, bond, and learn from each other’s experiences is more important than ever and we hope to create a safe space for thoughts and opinions to be shared from people all over the world. 

Right now, we are here for all of you. Our world is going through some crazy times, and we want this space to be safe, welcoming, and fun. We want to spark discussions, share opinions, and learn from one another. We may not live in the same cities or towns, but we all can connect in some way or another.
